Video Production
Adding to the power and story of song writing is vision. As evidenced by the growth of websites such as You Tube, people love to see their music come to life visually, it is also an important historical document of time and place. We recently played clips ranging from 2007-2011 at a community. There was a lot of joy and laughter looking back at the students and how they’d grown and changed.
Owning the copyright to your song allows you to produce a clip and share it, whether it be on the web or just to family and friends, (provided you get all the right permissions in place). With all the programmes and technology available now, it can be an interesting way to enhance computer skills and in particular, skills in film making and decision making.
If you don’t have the time and expertise, we also provide Video Production.
For 10 years now Stamp Music have produced “quick” music video clips…grabbing a few hours with the students after the song is recorded to storyboard and film their ideas, editing it and playing it for the students and community before we leave.
As with all things involving children, we are careful not to release any footage that hasn’t been cleared for public viewing.
Please contact us if you would like to know more about adding a video clip to your song.
This song and video was recorded earlier this year in Borroloola. Due to time constraints, the students made time before school and during lunch and recess to ensure this happened – well done guys. Yr 6 students of Borroloola with “Change the World”:-
From 2013 we have arranged permission for two clips. This first one is from Robinson River School:-
We also had the opportunity to write a group song across 4 schools on Groote Eylandt & Bickerton Island…a common chorus and a verse in each school, for performance at the One People, Once Voice Festival. Daniel Gerich, teacher from Milyakburra made the below clip to support the song. A fantastic bookmark of this moment in time, the places and the students.
Just for fun, here are a couple of clips from our earlier tours. It’s fun for both ourselves and the students involved to look back at these clips;
